Tennis Lessons & Instruction

Young players enjoy staying at the Lodge, located on the property of Ramey Riding Stables.  There are horses to watch in the fields, dogs to pet, and swings on the front porch and hanging from a tree.  There are two 3-hour lesson sessions daily held at the South Spencer, IN high school courts if the weather is nice or at the Executive Racquet Club if there is rain.  The high school courts are 5 minutes from The Lodge and the Racquet Club a 20 minute drive.

A one week six-day program is intensive and is designed to coach the player to advance his game level. Drills for placement and consistency with instruction in the biomechanics of each stroke are programmed each day.  Spring Break campers may choose to stay two to six days. A camper may register for a session at Ramey Equestrian School following the tennis camp in June.  (See Equestrian School.)

Registration begins at 1 p.m. on opening day).  Evening activities may include go karts, bowling, miniature golf, and movies. Campers pay extra for their evening activities, but transportation is provided.

This offers variety to the tennis program.  Registration is limited to 12 campers per session and campers are grouped according to age and ability.  Driving directions and a schedule of recommended exercises to prepare for camp will be sent following registration.  (click on Registration Form)
